Job Title - Compactor Engineer
Location - Derby
Salary - GBP24,000 - GBP26,000 plus van
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proven Compactor/Hydraulics engineer to join one of the UK's leading Waste Handling system providers. Products range include vertical and horizontal balers to static and portable compactors, shredders and conveyors.
As Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for providing an efficient and professional service across an established portfolio of clients.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited too;
- Responsible for all preventative maintenance works, fault finding, installations and L.O.L.E.R on all equipment out on site and within workshop & depots
- Carry out electrical and hydraulic refit / design where requested
- Provide technical advice to customers relating to compaction equipment / power supplies etc where requested
- Responsible for maintaining "compactor spare parts" stock levels on company vehicle
The Ideal Candidate
As the ideal candidate you will have strong interpersonal skills, be flexible and proactive. You will have previous experience working on compactors and bailers and welding skills are an advantage. Pneumatic experience is preferred & Electrical qualifications are a must. Proficiency in electrical and hydraulic fault finding and carrying out of repairs as required on single or three phase equipment are required
