My client, a leading developer of optical fibre sensors, is currently searching for an Optoelectronics Development Engineer to join their expanding team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic engineer with experience in the optoelectronics industry, to join an exciting company in a position that will have a clear progression path.
Based at their site in Hertfordshire, you will participate in the development of high-tech optoelectronic products and processes to meet customer demands.
Duties include, the design, build and operation of optoelectronic test rigs, the performance of component, modular and full system testing, as well as the designing of optoelectronics assemblies and the optimisation of their performance.
Further responsibilities include, the defining of quality procedures, the organising and performing of environmental qualification test procedures and assisting in the transfer of products from development to production.
This position is great for a hands-on Engineer with experience in process/product development in the optoelectronics industry.

Qualifications:
Ideally a relevant Science/Engineering Degree or higher.
Experience:
2+ years' experience in a process/product development role.
A strong background in optoelectronics.
Exposure to LabView, MATLAB and/or Python is useful but not essential.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for this role.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage time and work to deadlines.
Experience in electronic circuit design and troubleshooting would be advantageous.
