Junior Subsea Controls and Umbilical Engineer

We are currently seeking a Junior Subsea Controls and Umbilical Engineer to join a specialist contractor to the Oil & Gas industry on a permanent basis in Greater London. Our client is an international company who specialise in the subsea, oil & gas sectors.

The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Subsea controls and umbilical aspects of Concept / FEED / detail design
Perform subsea controls studies
Controls system and equipment specification, datasheet, SOW and technical notes
Controls system schematics and block diagram
Interface with clients and vendors
Interface with other discipline engineers, including pipeline and structure
Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical analyses
Keeps abreast of new technologies and developments
Preparation of budgetary estimates for subsea control systems and umbilical's

Essential skills, experience and attributes:

Degree qualified, working towards Chartered Status;
Working knowledge of ISO 16328 (parts 5 & 6)/API 17 (parts E & F)
Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical analysis
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
