Pay: GBP15.05 ph umbrella

Hours: 22.20 a week

My local authority client leisure and culture team require an experienced digital marketer to work as part of a team across web, email, direct mail, social media, PPC, to promote a range of products and services including gym memberships, swimming lessons, pantomime, theatre, golf, libraries and parks. 22.2 hours available per week that can be worked flexibly to suit the candidate across the working week. Required September through to mid January to cover maternity.

Main Responsibilities:

* Contribute to the design, delivery, and evaluation of creative marketing communications & sales plans that maximise engagement, participation, profile & income across the leisure and culture programme, facilities and services, in line with the Leisure & Culture Marketing & Business Development Strategy.

* Lead on the management of campaigns, as allocated to you by the Senior Marketing Officers, working to agreed budgets and timescales.

* Deputise for other members of the team during absences, regularly familiarising yourself with their duties.

* Develop and maintain leisure and culture websites, regularly undertaking SEO reviews.

* Develop and maintain leisure and culture social media streams, including paid-for advertising.

* Manage and develop leisure and culture email marketing and direct mail activity.

* Develop and produce content for websites, social media, emarketing and direct mail that is constantly fresh, relevant, effective, accurate and timely, that maintains brand identity and values, and that adheres to corporate Plain English and equalities policies, as appropriate.

* Keep abreast of, investigate and implement, as appropriate, developments, trends and best practice in digital, content and inbound marketing.

* Regularly analyse engagement and effectiveness of digital marketing activities using Google Analytics and e-marketing and social media reporting and analysis tools.

* Act as a point of contact for marketing advice and guidance to all colleagues across the department, with a focus digital marketing, training staff in use of websites and social media, as appropriate.


* Local Authority experience would be desirable

* Digital Marketing experience is essential

* Relevant qualification degree or equivalent
