My client, regulated by the FCA, is a fast-growing digital finance company providing services to over 500,000 unique customers. They have always aimed to ensure the provision of truly great and impeccable service to their customers, investing heavily in technology that is capable of providing the necessary platforms that support this. As part of their growth strategy, my client is seeking a commercial B2C marketer with experience in a fast-paced digital business. The post-holder will manage all aspects of marketing to address customer acquisition, retention, journey and communication as well as website(s) content and brand perception and reputation.
Reporting directly into the Chief Commercial Officer there will be a responsibility to define the overall marketing strategy and establish integrated relationships with the Credit Risk & Analytics and Engineering & IT teams.
Summary
Ownership of strategy to grow acquisition of new customers and retain existing customers
Strong analytical acumen to determine optimum channel distribution and customer acquisition and retention in line with commercial performance expectations
Develop and execute the marketing plan, working closely with Credit Risk & Analytics and Head of Partnerships & Affiliates
Develop the brand to ensure cut-through and differentiation of service/values
Manage and motivate the team to ensure growth, profitability and ROI
Generate market analysis and advanced understanding of B2C digital/e-commerce market trends to be able to make insightful recommendations, including competitor analysis
Develop and track key KPI metrics and budgets to monitor and report on
Collaborate with all functions across the business
Ownership and development of website(s) content alongside Product teams in Engineering & IT
Deep analytical understanding of the customer journey and ownership of recommendations to enhance performance
Ownership of brand reputation and perception, including management of 3rd party relationships such as TrustPilot
Experience
Established Head of Marketing; knowledge and experience of consumer finance is preferable
Proven track record of working in e-commerce / digital B2C brands
Extensive experience utlising a wide range of digital and strong analytical ability in order to understand and influence commercial performance
Successful track record in meeting rapid growth targets within competitive ROI
A proven leader with a history of strong demonstrable skills in developing and providing focus for teams
Data-driven mindset and comfortable providing analysis and strategic advice to senior management and shareholders
Ability to apply attribution techniques/tools to traffic to determine ROI from each acquisition channel and the combined effect of integrated campaigns
Strong business acumen and an understanding of managing challenges in a growth-orientated organisation
Creative flair to take the company from challenger brand to market-leading brand
