About the role

Using our 'trusted to deliver' programme to deliver enhanced customer satisfaction, you'll be responsible for the delivery of project cost savings and reductions in surface ship refit timescales. You'll develop, implement and maintain project schedules and networks for Surface Ship Refits from the initial bid through to project end, monitor and control single integrated project schedules and liaise with all production groups to ensure that logical sequencing of the scheduled activities is maintained. You'll also create plans to support project planning initiatives such as dedicated 3rd level schedules, critical path analysis and fixed period look ahead along with creating option, baseline and mitigation plans to aid the decision making process.

As Senior Planner you will update plans on a regular basis to provide a means of monitoring and controlling the project, report progress to senior management and identify the impact of changes to the work scope and you'll assist the Project Manager in the control and maintenance of the Project Estimating and Planning System (PEPS) by updating progress, activities, dates and responsibilities.

What do I need to do the role?

You'll need to be ONC or equivalent level, in an Engineering/Technical Subject or as determined by the Project Manager due to previous relevant experience and competent in verbal & written communications.

You will also need to have experience in the following areas:

  • The ability to interface with managers & customers
  • Ability to think logically
  • Computer literate and experienced in operating company systems.

Lastly it would be desirable if you have training in Primavera P6 Planning and PEPS.
