About the role
Here at Babcock International we are looking to recruit a Planning Engineer to join the Facilities Engineering Programme Management Office (PMO) at Devonport Royal Dockyard. The PMO comprises a team of 30 Planning, Project Engineering and Business Support professionals, providing a planning and project controls service to the Facilities Engineering design team.
As a Planning Engineer you will develop detail within existing post initiation projects, collate accurate progress reporting and analysis, variances investigation and reporting, manage project baselines, change management and ad hoc project reporting.
This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career and assist in the delivery of Defence design and safety engineering projects. Your role will be permanent and will provide an interface between the internal customer and design/safety engineering teams.
What do I need to do the role?
You'll need a minimum of BTEC in an engineering discipline (or significant, relevant experience) and demonstrable knowledge of Primavera P6.
We would also like you to have the following:
- excellent knowledge of project controls and management principles
- good working knowledge of windows based applications
- experience of facilities management in a regulated environment
Lastly, to be successful in this role you will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with all senior stakeholders.
What else to I need to know?
The successful candidate will hold Security Clearance, or be eligible to gain Security Clearance at the appropriate level for this position.
