We are currently recruiting for a dayshift Team Leader to join our Filter Test Laboratory based within our European Technology Centre. In this new role, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the team and testing resources in the Filter Testing Laboratory to deliver the required testing service to different customers on time. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience and skills leading a technical testing team.
Key responsibilities-
Liaising and negotiating with internal stakeholders to create a testing schedule to meet their requirements and deadlines.

Leading a team of technicians on different shifts to ensure that testing is carried out as scheduled, adapting the plan as necessary.

Setting and aligning individual and team objectives to department goals, as well as performing appraisals and supporting the creation individual development plans.

Planning regular calibrations of the equipment and maintaining records of calibration.

Communicating with OEM equipment suppliers to initiate support for problem resolution on the testing equipment.

Escalating any concerns with equipment or processes to the Lab Supervisor if they cannot be resolved in a timely state and will impact the ability to meet critical deadlines.

Ensuring the process remains in control through good maintenance of control charts and scheduling of regular process control checks.

Carrying out training reviews of the technicians to ensure they are competent to perform the testing processes.

Providing data on performance of the laboratory and equipment to the Laboratory Supervisor for reporting.

Providing holiday or absence cover for the technicians if required.
You will_
-
Have experience in a production, quality or product testing environment operating and working with complex technical equipment.

Possess excellent communication skills, with an ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments

Be proficient in using Microsoft Excel for creating tables and graphs

Have proven problem-solving skills

Be able to manage multiple and changing priorities within a fast-paced environment

Experience supervising a team is desirable
