RSR Police are currently recruiting for an Investigative Support to work on a temporary contract based in Oxford. The Investigative Support will be required to provide an effective and efficient support function within a mixed economy team of Police Officers and staff, including; administrative tasks, evidence collection and recording tasks on Niche RMS
Main duties and responsibilities
Provide an accurate and efficient evidence collection support function to a mixed economy team of Police Officers and staff to assist in the investigatory process.
Record witness/interview statements from interviews and ensure section 9 PACE statements are legible, meet the required evidential and quality standards and comply with the CPS guidelines.
Provide an accurate and efficient administrative function for a mixed economy team of Police Officers and staff.
View and capture key evidence, prepare viewing logs and complete recording logs in accordance with identified best practise, national policy and procedure to meet the requirements of OIC and partner agencies.
View CCTV/Media Viewing footage as circumstances dictate; particularly investigative tape reviews, copying relevant footage, obtaining evidence from mobile phones and issuing video-prints when necessary and identifying further investigative opportunities.
Attend court to give specific evidence where required and, including evidence of exhibits and to support the prosecution team
Skills and Experience
Statement taking
Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; confident at intermediate level with an aptitude/willingness to learn new systems/technology.
Good interpersonal and communication skills to enable the post holder to interact confidently, effectively and professionally with all stakeholders including staff and members of the public.
Proven ability to organise, plan, manage and prioritise workloads. Be adaptable, flexible and resilient with a willingness to learn new processes whilst working to clear timescale deadlines.
Flexible approach to working is essential as some assignments may require evening and weekend working at various locations.
Must have capability to travel to different locations across the Force and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. Due to the requirement to work flexibly, unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working; public transport may not be available or suitable at these times. For this reason a full UK driving licence is considered advantageous
