Cover Supervisor

Permanent, 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Term-time plus 5 working days

Actual Salary £13,194 to £14,568 per annum (Full-time equivalent of £19,171 to £21,166)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our busy team to work with classes across the curriculum during the short term absence of teaching staff.  You will be required to ensure that pupils complete the work set by teaching staff, to support pupils with their learning as required and maintain pupils’ behaviour appropriately in accordance with school policies and procedures.  In addition, you may provide administrative support to Heads of Year, accompany students on external visits and invigilate for exams.

The ideal candidate will have:

• GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C (or equivalent)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A passion and commitment for supporting young people
• A positive attitude, a calm and flexible approach
• An ability to work on your own initiative

This post is ideally suited if you are an aspiring teacher looking to gain valuable experience in a successful secondary school.  Experience of working with young people would be an advantage although training and induction will be provided.
