AAT Practice Accountant / Graduate 

(Graduates will also be considered for this position)

Location: Chatham, Kent

Salary: £21,000 - £23,000 Depending on skills and experience 

We have an excellent opportunity for an AAT Level 3 or above qualified accountant to join our friendly practice. The job will include preparing year end accounts and VAT returns for a wide range of clients including Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships.

The role will involve, but is not limited to, preparing statutory accounts and VAT returns using Sage and Excel and therefore requires competent IT skills.

The job will provide the opportunity to develop skills for a company that seeks to offer outstanding accountancy services.

We are looking for someone who is highly presentable with a pleasant and polite manner with an ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all levels within a small firm.

Accounting duties for the AAT Practice Accountant (not limited to):

  • Preparation of final accounts for
  • Limited Companies
  • Sole Traders
  • Partnerships
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Review of CIS returns

Skills required for the AAT Practice Accountant:

  • Experience of computerised accounting programs
  • Excel
  • Working to strict deadlines
