Our client based in Nuneaton is looking to recruit a Parks maintenance officer.
The role:
* To monitor the condition of children's play areas across the Borough, liaising when necessary with maintenance contractors.
* To plan, design and develop parks and countryside sites, including play areas, skate parks and Multi use games areas.
* To develop an annual infrastructure maintenance programme and be responsible for the allocated budget.
* To liaise with manufactures, contractors and allied organisations as and when required to maintain all recreational areas.
* To assist in the preparation and development of specifications and to conduct presentations.
* Undertake detailed surveying work on all parks, open spaces and countryside areas.
Requirements:
* The idea candidate must have a national certificate in Horticulture or equivalent qualification in a related subject.
* A Health & Safety IOSH certificate or equivalent in grounds maintenance or similar environment is desirable.
* Experience of project management.
* Experience of designing infrastructure maintenance related projects.
* Good IT Skills.
Hours and Pay:
* Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
GBP14.00 p/h This will increase after 12 weeks to GBP14.92 p/h
