Excellent long term opportunity for Trainers, qualified Assessors and/or Internal Verifiers in the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Industry. The Head Office is in Edinburgh and the projects are based in the Middle East.
Job Description
Successful candidates will be required to effectively implement Training, Competency Assessment/ Assurance Programmes involving Operation personnel working at Downstream Plant and Storage/Distribution Terminals.
C-MIST is an approved training centre by a number of the UK qualification Authorities such as SQA, City & Guilds and PAAVQSET. We train and certify candidates at various parts of the world.
The Role:
The main place of work is in the Middle East, although some time is spent at our Head Office in Edinburgh. Working on a rotational rota weeks on and weeks off. There is a degree of flexibility with regards to the days on/days off rota. You will be responsible for the delivery of Competency Assessments for Operation Technicians at a process plant and an oil & gas storage/distribution Terminal. The successful applicant MUST hold suitable vocational qualifications, have experience in assessing production personnel and be committed to providing a high level of customer service to our client. You will be working with a well-developed Competency Assurance Programme to certify candidate's knowledge and skills to the highest standard. The work is mainly based outside the UK, the time on/time off arrangements can be discussed and agreed.
Duties Include:
Carrying out competency assessments on the operations and/or maintenance of a variety of equipment and systems in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical sites.
Planning and conducting assessments to meet the Qualification Authorities.
Judging evidence and making assessment decisions.
Delivering feedback to candidates and the training centre.
Participating in standardisation and associated activities.
Monitor and report on progress against agreed KPI's.
Identifying improvements and facilitating change through a standardised approach.
Working to the national, industry and in-house standards provided
Qualifications Required:
* D32/D33 or A1 or L&D 9/ L&D 11 Assessor Qualification (or equivalent)
* Operations and/or maintenance qualification in the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Industry
Experience:
* Relevant experience in a similar role
* Experience in assessment and/or Internal Verification
* Advantageous - Experience in Tank Farm, Marine Terminal (jetty), Road Tanker Loading/Discharging Facilities
Salary is dependent on experience.
