An exciting opportunity has arisen for a BMS Technician to join the Estates and Development Directorate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Building Energy Management System (BeMS) at Keele University, monitor daily performance, ensuring the systems perform to optimum capabilities, whilst environmental and comfort conditions are maintained, ensuring environmental impact and energy consumption are minimised while improving systems reliability and functionality
Provide a responsive and efficient technical service in support of the overall energy and maintenance provision, by applying expert skills and knowledge to test, service, adjust, upgrade and fault find on the campus wide control systems and provide specialist technical advice to colleagues and other departments. Review opportunities to further develop the uses and capabilities of the BMS.
The successful candidates will have a Degree level in a Building Services Engineering or Controls discipline, or extensive and demonstrable applied experience in a similar role.
Hands on experience of fault finding on building control systems and associated building services, demonstrable experience of working with major BMS control systems such as Delta, Copper Tree Analytical software, Siemens Desgio and Allen Martin systems. Excellent IT skills including Excel, report writing and multi- Experience of the construction industry health and safety, in particular the CDM Regs, Excellent demonstrable customer care skills, Good analytical and numerical skills.
