Our client is now looking for an energetic, proactive and experienced National Account Manager to join them at their site in East London.  This is a permanent full time role, with an initial 9 month probation period.

Within this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing and growing a portfolio of National Accounts. You will have top line P&L accountability for your lead customers and once established would be expected to grow and nurture these relationships with customers.

You will be expected to devise promotions, provide ranging and merchandising advice and options for your customers, as well as working with internal departments to ensure all areas of the customer relationship are being run effectively.  You will also be expected to take an active role in accurate and timely completion of company admin, trade shows, sales promotions and company presentations.

In order to succeed in this role, you will already have substantial experience as a National Account Manager with a good understanding of the food and drink/wholesale industry.

A confident communicator with a high level of self-motivation, you will possess the ability to work on your own initiative and will demonstrate a hands-on attitude.  Strong negotiation skills are a must and you will be IT Literate – with intermediate knowledge on both MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you hold a full, clean driving licence.

Hours of Work: 8.30 a.m. – 5.30 p.m. (Monday to Friday)
