Project Support Officer - Immediate Start
Location: Dundee
Duration: 3 month contract with possibility of extension
Pay rate: Competitive
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

Pertemps Dundee are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well know Public Sector organisation, for a Project Support Officer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the programme office for a number of projects and programmes. The ideal candidate will also have experience within the health sector.

Your key duties will involve:
Manage the day-to-day running of the programme office for a number of projects and programmes by providing high level project support and assisting in the delivery of advice and guidance on appropriate management methodologies
Responsible for providing a full range of project support services to Programme Management Services
Assisting in the organisation and administration of all aspects of Projects, Programmes and Business
The ideal candidate will have had previous experience the following:
Project management background and/or experience working in a project office environment
Experience of co-ordinating all Project Phases including Proposal, Initiation, Design, Implementation, Closure and Review
Experience of diary co-ordination and arranging meetings together with all related duties
Minute taking skills
Experience in the delivery of training is desirable
Experience and knowledge of delivering effective customer-orientated services is desirable
Experience of working flexibly with team members and customers across a variety of business settings is desirable
Team working experience, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a well-developed organisational ability
Evidence of excellent written and oral communication
Evidence of negotiation and influencing skills is desirable
Knowledge & Skills:
Educated to degree level in Office Administration or related subject or proven experience gained in a busy office environment
Formal programme and project management training e.g. PRINCE2 is desirable
Good knowledge of methodologies and techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects
Commitment to professional development
Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures and effective financial management skills is desirable
An understanding of the health service in Scotland and knowledge of associated terminology is desirable
The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems is desirable
Ability to manage a diverse workload while ensuring the provision of a high quality service
Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines in a changing environment without the requirement for direct supervision
