The primary focus of this role will be to support the Management Accountant with the delivery of the month end process and ensuring key Finance tasks are completed in a timely manner throughout the month.

Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including detailed summary of status of each account

Weekly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts

Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register, including capitalizing new assets, disposals and running monthly depreciation

Close out the month-end in line with a tight month-end timetable, ensuring all month end adjustments (prepayments, deferrals and accruals) are correctly supported, calculated and posted.

Support Accounts Receivable Manager with raising client invoices as appropriate

Support the Accounts Payable Team with management of business rates notices, staff credit cards and holiday cover as required

Resolve invoice queries and work with the Accounts Receivable Manager to ensure payment is received in accordance with invoice terms.

Support the Management Accountant in ad-hoc tasks, reporting requirements and projects, including process improvement, compliance budget/forecasts, and enhancement of accounting system.


You will be part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA) management accountant with experience working in a busy finance department, handling multiple queries, prioritising and delivering on deadline.

Great initiative and a really hands-on attitude - able to see issues as they arise and respond/escalate as needed.

Stong Excel and accounting system skills, ideally using Great Plains.
