Schools Liaison Officer

Salary between £23,000 and £26,242 per annum, according to experience.

The role is largely focussed on raising the profile of the College and University with suitably qualified students, especially those from areas and groups currently underrepresented in the University of Cambridge.  Duties will include the organisation of short summer schools and school visits at Homerton, and visits to education fairs and schools in Homerton's link areas of Scotland, South Yorkshire, Buckinghamshire, and parts of London.  You will be responsible for maintaining records of all outreach activities, and will also help in the coordination of undergraduate student helpers during Open Days and the interview period.

You should be an excellent communicator, with an outgoing personality, have a good knowledge of the UK secondary education system and understand the style of teaching and types of courses offered in Cambridge.

Homerton is a friendly, modern college and offers a very pleasant working environment and a generous benefit package. For all college positions we offer an excellent remuneration package which includes:

  • a very generous defined benefit pension scheme (your pension payment and lump-sum on retirement is predetermined by a formula based on your earnings history, tenure of service and age, rather than depending directly on investment returns). Monthly employer contributions are currently 18.2%
  • a great working environment
  • free on-site parking
  • meals on duty
  • subsidised access to our College gym
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Great range of high street and online discounts

Homerton is an equal opportunities employer.
