Due to aggressive expansion of production of our much-loved products (Jameson's Caramels and ruffles, toffees, Humbugs, Buttermints and fudge) and new products (Fox's Glacier Mints, Poppets) we are looking for hard working, reliable candidates to join the Tangerine Team! We have various production opportunities available on the following shifts, and we are always looking to offer development opportunities for the stars of the future!
One of the roles they are looking to recruit for is Machine Operatives. The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the operation of site machines according to Production / Packing requirements and standards.
Hours/Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm to 06:00am, or Monday to Friday, 10:00pm to 06:00am
The main duties for the Machine Operatives are:
• Understand and comply to the related operating procedures, to produce the required product to the required standards
• Careful completion of related documentation and PC input when / where required
• Ability to work to high standards and specifications
• Elevate any concerns or issues to a Team Leader / Production Shift Manager
• To comply with standards of food safety, quality and legality at all times. Demonstrate commitment by example and immediately elevate any potential issues or concerns
Key qualities they are looking for:
• Some experience within manufacturing - ideally in food but not essential
• Some experience of operating manufacturing machines also preferable
• Food safety hygiene, COSH, and manual handling certificates are advantageous
• Live within a commutable distance of York
• Experience of working within a team
