Who we're looking for

We seek an outstanding individual to provide a professional and effective media relations service on behalf of the Trust and its schools. The successful candidate will manage the Trust's social media channels to grow their reach and engagement and produce compelling content for a range of communications channels, including websites.

The key objective of this post is to create a positive media profile and positioning for Star Academies and its schools. The postholder will also support in the development and implementation of a PR plan for the Trust, as part of the wider communications strategy.

You will have:

  • A degree or equivalent in English, communications, PR, marketing or related discipline
  • At least 3 years working in a PR, communications or marketing role
  • Experience of researching, editing and writing press releases
  • Extensive knowledge of how the media operates including local, regional and national media
  • Best practice of internal and external communication, including social media
