A vacancy has arisen within our Property Services team for a Property Surveyor. Reporting to the Repairs Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of duties to ensure the Trust Property Portfolio is maintained and managed to a high standard.
The role primarily involves working within the Responsive Repairs team, carrying out daily technical pre-inspections in both tenanted and empty properties. It will also involve intermediate and post inspections, and the diagnosis and remediation of property repairs. The candidate will have to draw upon their technical building surveying expertise to determine the short and long term maintenance of the portfolio.
The successful candidate will carry out various surveys such as damp surveys, and mutual exchange surveys. They will be able to draw up schedules of work, arrange quotes and tenders for larger repair programmes, and manage programmes through to completion. They will assist in supporting Neighbourhood colleagues, the Scheduling team, Assistant Mangers and work with the in-house Trade Technicians and Sub-contractors. They will proactively work with customers to provide a highly effective and efficient responsive repairs service.
An essential requirement of the role is for candidates to have a trade-based background and have attained an NVQ level 3 in a trade. It is also essential that candidates have a current P402 qualification in managing asbestos and relevant experience dealing with disrepair claims and scott schedules. Qualifications such as HNC, P402 or similar would be desirable but not essential. Excellent Microsoft Office skills are required, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
A full driving license is required for this role.
