Pension and Payroll Analyst
Location: Paisley
Contract type: Permanent
Hours per week: 35
Salary: Circa GBP 22,000 per annum depending on experience

We have a critical and central role for a Pension and Payroll Analyst to support our Payroll team who looks after a staff headcount of over 4,000.

You will take management and assurance of all day to day pension services and be required to perform a variety of control and reconciliation procedures, and where necessary, take corrective actions.

Dealing with both staff from throughout the organisation and external bodies, you will have strong verbal and written communication skills. You will use your own initiative to investigate potential issues and will also be responsible for seeking ways to continually strengthen the organisation's financial controls.

Possessing a sound knowledge of the legislative requirements of auto enrolment, you will ensure that all our systems and processes are compliant with up to date legislation.

About the team

The payroll department is located within the Shared Service Centre (SSC) in Paisley and is a part of the Finance Planning and Resources division. The Pensions and Payroll Analyst sits within a team of five staff who report to the Payroll Manager.

About the person

Having worked in a finance function before, you have had exposure to a high volume transactional processing environment and can undertake highly accurate reconciliations thanks to your attention to detail.

You possess advanced Excel skills which includes designing and developing Excel workbooks that use advanced techniques including pivot table, V look ups and formulas.

You have experience of double-entry book-keeping and a detailed knowledge of employee and employer pensions contributions.

A degree level accounting or finance qualification would be desirable but not essential based on your experience, and experience with accounting systems such as Agresso would be advantageous.
