Can you use your design skills to support with the creation of resources and materials that will be used by our First Aid Trainers?

Our Red Cross Training (RCT) team are committed to delivering a quality service to our customers; we've been delivering first aid at work courses for more than 30 years, and we're acknowledged by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) as a standard setter for first aid at work. We're proud to deliver excellence in service, and endeavour to ensure that any resources and visual aids that we use during training delivery match these standards by looking professional, high quality, informative, and fit for purpose. We're looking for a Training Product Officer to help ensure that new materials are developed in a timely and efficient manner, and existing resources are continuously reviewed and monitored for their effectiveness.

What you'll be doing ...
Reporting to the Training Product Manager, you'll design and coordinate the development of training materials and multimedia visual aids, ensuring that they're consistent with organisational branding and industry regulations. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders, such as subject matter experts and marketing, to develop engaging resources, and will liaise with external suppliers to source and organise cost-effective solutions for their production and fulfillment.

In addition, you'll support RCT with the analysis of course related data, reviewing metrics such as Customer Satisfaction, and creating reports from your findings. You'll also be responsible for course related administration processes, including maintaining course details on our course booking database, and updating PowerPoint presentations used by our Trainers.

Meet the team
Our team are welcoming, motivated, and passionate about helping people. We've been delivering first aid at work courses for more than 30 years. We have over 170 trainers throughout the UK, and in 2018 we delivered training to over 137,000 delegates. Not only do our courses provide people with life-saving knowledge and skills; after costs have been deducted, every penny made goes to support the work of the British Red Cross.

This role might be for you if...
You're creative, and can bring your ideas to life - you're skilled in the use of a range of design resources, including Adobe Creative Cloud software and Microsoft Publisher, and have experience of using these tools to design and develop printed and electronic resources.

You're analytically minded - you can analyse data and draft reports and management information based on your findings.

You're flexible - you can plan your workload independently and work towards and meet deadlines. Regular travel (to Salford and/or London, as well as other locations dependent on business needs - approximately monthly) will also be a feature of this role, so you should be comfortable with travelling nationally when required.

Closing date for applications is 23:59 on Monday 19th August 2019, with interviews to follow.

We offer a wide range of staff benefits, these include:

  • 36 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
  • Option to buy an extra 5 days annual leave
  • Up to 6% contributory pension
  • Flexible working policy
