About the role

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious finance professional to work in a growing Finance Unit as a Management Accountant.

The Management Accountant will play a key role within the Finance Unit, supporting the UK Finance Manager in ensuring the effective and efficient financial management for Practical Action. You will have responsibility for a diverse portfolio of tasks including delivering month end accounts and management reporting in a timely manner.

Critical to the success of the role will be the ability to engage, communicate and build relationships with a range of colleagues across Practical Action. The role will require you to engage, communicate and work with colleagues to understand often complex projects and strategies.

The role offers a rewarding opportunity for an ambitious Management Accountant who is seeking a challenging but, ultimately rewarding role.

About you

At least three years' experience of financial management roles preferably gained in the INGO sector, including understanding and meeting demands of senior management and working effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands.

You are confident at building relationships and communicating with a wide range of people, whether that is in writing or verbally.

You will be highly organised and a confident problem solver.
