Production Group Leader
GBP33,125 - GBP38,425 basic salary
Days position - Monday to Friday
Pension with up to 7% employer contribution + life insurance to 3.5 x salary
25 days' leave + 8 Bank Holidays
Location: Northamptonshire
ATA is recruiting for a market leading manufacturing business based in the heart of Northamptonshire. This multi-site UK operation is experiencing significant growth within their respective markets and as a result, they are looking to strengthen the production department.
The Production Group Leader will work on a day shift role (Monday to Friday) managing a three-shift operation with 24 production team members and will have complete ownership of all production activities with the respobsibility for ensuring the teams meet their KPI's.

The successful applicant will be provided with a structured training programme, a clear path for progression and the autonomy to make changes within the function to continuously improve its operational performance.
Key elements of the role of the Production Group Leader are:
Leadership of 24 Production Team Members in a three shift process
Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are followed by all shifts
Provide the leadership to engage and motivate the teams to ensure operational targets are achieved
Manage and improve KPI's relating to safety, cost, quality, delivery, and team engagement
Responsible for delivering the production plan to meet customer requirements
To ensure regular, clear and concise communication across each shift
Manage the training of all team members
Ensure the production process is conducted to defined standards and meets product quality requirements and that periodic equipment maintenance and cleaning is completed
Lead continuous improvement initiatives in the process
The ideal candidate will have a combination of the following:
A proven track record working as either a Production Leader, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Team Manager or related role
Engineering qualifications relating to manufactuting processes
Demonstrate an understanding and experience of process control in a process dependant on the skills of production temam members and the maintenance of key process conditions
The availability and flexibility to manage a three shift operation
Strong leadership skills and management experience in a multi shift production environment with demanding quality and delivery requirements
Excellent communication skills and a natural problem solver
