They are currently going through an exciting period of growth and change and following a recent reshuffle of the organisations core structure a newly created Deputy Director of Finance position has been formed. This is an exciting role that sits as part of a 300 strong organisation, based within a finance team of c.30. The role will give the successful candidate a wonderful opportunity:*To join an organisation with fantastic scope for progression to the top of the structural ladder.*To put their own stamp on a developing organisation and finance team, working to build a successful and well-run team.*To be part of an organisation that really makes a difference across the local area, helping thousands of people find accommodation.Operating underneath the Executive Director of Finance who is driven and passionate about modernising finance whilst providing guidance and development to his team this role takes responsibility for providing financial leadership and management for the complete finance service across the organisation. Specific responsibilities include: *Lead on the development of the financial strategy, providing analysis to stakeholders on financial position and direction, new business and growth analysis and maintaining high income collection.*Take the lead on financial planning, budget setting, completion of statutory and management accounts with emphasis on switching culture to business partnering approach. This will include building strong relationships and providing challenge to key stakeholders, finance committee and the executive board. *Full responsibility for the management and development of the finance team through three direct reports, including the implementation and embedding of any proposed restructures.*To take ownership of the current 30-year business plan and make any amendments that may be needed after this development period.This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to move from the commercial sector into the Not-for-Profit sector. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) with previous experience of working across a range of accountancy areas and staff development.
