This quintessential British retail brand with a UK wide presence is looking for a Graphic Designer to work in their large in-house creative team, located within the rolling Oxfordshire countryside.
The Company
As Creative Graphic Designer, you will enjoy working alongside a dedicated and passionate team of specialist Designers (packaging, UX/UI, photography, print), as their integrated Creative Designer. The internal creative team all work closely together on various projects, so you would work together with the team on certain projects and others you would have free reign to work on your own projects, so you need to be happy working collaboratively and also independently from concept to final output. If you have a passion for retail and brand communications and would relish immersing yourself in one brand, then this could be perfect for you.
The Role
This Creative Designer will be responsible for producing media neutral campaign and brand concepts, and design roll-out across multiple channels, including in-store POS, large format, pop-up stores, visual merchandising, and events and festivals. This is a fast-paced role so previous experience designing within a retail environment would be ideal.
* Developing visual concepts, working in conjunction with the design team and visual merchandising team, getting involved with events and festivals and new store development
* To take responsibility for seeing your creative work through the creative process to final sign off
* To ensure your work adheres to brand guidelines and maintains the company's vision
* To keep on top of competitors and current market trends, conducting market and competitor research
* To present your creative work to the Head of Creative and key stakeholders and to liaise with external creative agencies
* Manage own projects, working within budget and scheduling requirements
About You
* First and foremost, you will have a strong passion for brand, creative and emerging market trends
* An interest and ideally some experience of working with a retail brand
* Boundless enthusiasm and a can-do, positive attitude
* A commercial appreciation in order to embrace last minute amends and tight deadlines and timescales
* A natural relationship builder, who enjoys managing and maintaining relationships with the team, peers, and stakeholders
* Experienced at working on a variety of projects at any one time
* You will have a qualification in graphic design and a minimum of 2 years' experience in graphic design
* You will have good proficiency in InDesign and Illustrator and knowledge of PhotoShop
* You will have the knowledge and an understanding of the creative process and creative environment as well as an understanding of print production processes (ideally)
