Full Time Post: 36.25 hours per week
Term Time Only: 40 weeks per year
Salary: £22,659 - £25,482 pro rata per annum
We have a vacancy for a Bar Manager, to work in our busy Bar in a lively student environment based in Farnham. As Bar Manager, you will be fully responsible and accountable for the operational running of the bar function including organising and running a variety of events day and/or night. You will work as part of your team and provide team members (casual student staff) with operational training; developing them to ensure customer service satisfaction.
You will have knowledge of relevant licensing laws, be a personal licence holder, a good knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene regulations. You will need to demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate and be able to form effective relationships with team members whilst remaining calm under pressure. Good communication skills are essential and you will be expected to liaise with external licencing committees and the police.
A proven record of bar management is essential with a good understanding of event management.
The pro rata salary for this position will be £19,843 - £22,315 per annum.
