Job Title: Purchase Ledger / WIP Administrator

Location: Gainsborough, Lincolnshire

Salary: Negotiable, dependent upon experience

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (subject to a satisfactory 3 month probationary period)

The Company is one of the World's leading suppliers of Filling, Sealing and Packing solutions for the food industry and they now have an exciting opportunity, due to retirement, for someone with purchase ledger experience to join their enthusiastic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing purchase ledger system
  • Matching, batching and coding invoices
  • Dealing with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve account queries
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Providing monthly work in progress valuations
  • Advising, monthly exchange rates for intercompany transactions
  • Providing the intrastate information for reporting purposes
  • Various management reporting
  • Continuous reviews of working practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
  • Working with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve account queries
  • Providing cover for the other members of the team

Primary Duties:

  • Part qualified accountant or able to demonstrate qualified through experience
  • Previous experience of month end Management Accounts
  • Previous experience of purchase ledger using a purchase ordering system
  • Good computer literacy, including Excel & Microsoft Dynamics NAV (desirable)
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build relationships with external suppliers
  • Ability to work as an effective member of the team
