Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Gainsborough, Lincolnshire

Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Role:

A fantastic opportunity is now available for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their ever expanding business in the UK.

The role would be to design bespoke mechanical packaging solutions for machinery used mainly in the dairy industry, following both customer specifications and the relevant hygiene standards.

The Candidate:

The candidate would receive training to:

• Create a concept idea through to a full design
• Create manufacturing and assembly drawings using Autodesk Inventor
• Complete technical files, parts lists & spares lists for projects
• Create customer layout drawings to assist the sales team
• Create designs that meet the requirements of various industry standards

Key Requirements:

• A keen interest in engineering
• The ability to communicate and work as a team player
• An understanding of engineering principles and drawings
• The candidate should have a minimum of HNC/HND in mechanical engineering
• Experience of using Autodesk Inventor would be an advantage
