The Ely Diocesan Board of Finance seeks a Secretary to support the Department of Development (Mission and Ministry).

The Department of Development (Mission and Ministry) Our purpose is to support our clergy and lay ministers with training and development as they seek to work collaboratively in serving community and making disciples. We work together as departments with shared goals encompassing both traditional church and Fresh expressions of church. 

Job Description:

This role will be based in our growing Department of Development (Mission and Ministry) at our central location in Ely

Responsibilities

You will have the following key responsibilities: 

Support the Diocesan Director of Ordinands and Vocations in all areas of administrative support
Administrative support for colleagues and management in the department
Open correspondence (emails and post), to respond or forward as appropriate
Assistance with preparation of high-quality departmental documentation for publication
To administratively & practically assist running discernment seminars (This will involve some flexible working including occasional evenings and Saturdays)
To assist production of in-house and external events
Update content on departmental webpages
To perform any other duties commensurate with the role as reasonably required from time to time.
