If your answer to these questions is yes, we have an exciting new job opportunity that could be for you.
Background
At Curo we are about providing people with homes and much more. We are one of the largest landlords in the South West and ranked in the top 50 of The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Not-for-Profit Organisations to work for in the whole of the UK. We care about our colleagues and this is evident in their sense of pride and the tireless work they do to support our customers.
With around 13,000 properties in the south west, the majority in Bath, we are about much more than just somewhere to live. Our experience extends to supporting vulnerable people with thoughtful and effective additional services and improving our homes and estates, as well as building new places for people to live.
This is a great opportunity to run our Accredited Work Placement Programme, to find out more about it click here:

What you'll be doing
You’ll lead our established Accredited Work Placement Programme to help customers who are experiencing barriers to employment to access work placements and training opportunities and move into employment.
You’ll build and maintain effective relationships with internal Curo colleagues, external referral partners and local employers to deliver to programme. A key target will be to help customers who are accessing Curo’s other support services to start an accredited work placement and then progress into further training, jobs or apprenticeship opportunities whilst recording outcomes and reporting against KPI’s.
You will be out and about visiting participants, employers and other organisations so a drivers licence and access to transport to travel around the local area is essential.
More about you
You’ll be enthusiastic and confident with strong influencing skills and a passion for helping people find work and training opportunities.
You’ll have experience of developing, coaching and mentoring a wide range of individuals based on their needs and an understanding of the barriers people face when looking for work, whilst being approachable and caring, with the ability to motivate people to achieve their goals.
You’ll love building effective working relationships where you work proactively with colleagues across Curo embedding an understanding of the work placement programme. You will also have experience of delivering projects in partnership with external organisations.
You should combine excellent, IT, communication and negotiation skills with a diplomatic approach and the ability to relate to a diverse range of people. You will be highly organised with a methodical approach allowing you to work independently and accurately under pressure along with the ability to prioritise.
When and where you'll be doing it
You will be able to work flexibly, Monday to Friday, based on our customers’ needs. You will be responsible for organizing your own workload and setting your diary appointments.
You’ll be based in BANES and the surrounding areas, out and about in the community.
What will you get in return?
We think you’ll have a job that makes you feel good about what you’re doing – you will make a difference to our customers’ lives every day.
You’ll get:
A day’s leave on your birthday
26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 after 3 years’ service
Opportunity to earn performance related pay
Company Pension contribution of up to 10%
Flexible Benefits including health care, gym membership, buying holiday
