Welfare Benefits Team Leader 

Salary:                   £29,450 rising to £31,000 per annum upon successful completion of probation

Cobalt Housing are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Welfare Benefits Team Leader, to join one of North Liverpool’s mainstream Landlords. Based in Croxteth, the successful candidate will report in to the Head of Neighbourhoods and join an established, knowledgeable and supportive team.

Reporting to the Head of Neighbourhoods, this role will involve direct line management and leadership of a team of Welfare Benefit Advisors. There will be a strong emphasis on boosting links with other internal and external teams and partners, and leading change in the team to deliver the most effective service we can to the benefit of the business and our customers.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have strong experience in direct line management and developing a team of professional and administrative staff in a challenging and changing environment, as well the ability to understand and interpret legislation, case law, and regulations within a Welfare Benefits advice and / or Income environment. It is essential that the successful candidate should be able to work on their own initiative and will adhere to and promote Cobalt values and behaviours.

The successful candidate will enjoy 23 days holiday, flexi time, plus 3 additional days for Christmas shut down, as well as the option to join the company pension Scheme. The salary for the Welfare Benefits Team Leader role is £29,450 rising to £31,000 upon successful completion of probation. Cobalt's standard working week is 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
