Hostel Support Worker
Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week
Location: Manvers Street Hostel, Bath
Salary: £18,200.00 per annum
Closing Date: Tuesday 20th August '19 (12 noon).
If you want a rewarding job in which no two days are the same, then come and join us! We are a fun dynamic team who strive to provide a quality person centred service to some of the most vulnerable people in society. Manvers Street is a busy direct access homeless hostel offering crisis accommodation and support to rough sleepers in Central Bath.
We are recruiting for a permanent full-time member of staff to join our fantastic team. We deliver 24-hour support 365 days a year to help former rough sleepers out of homelessness. The role requires empathy and understanding as well as the ability to maintain clear boundaries and provide a safe environment. Some of our staff have lived experience, others have social care work experience, whilst some have just graduated from Uni and want to develop new skills. But what all the team members have in common is a strong value base and a natural affinity for people, who often have a range of complex needs.
With an ability to work on your own initiative as well as being part of a team who are committed to client involvement, you will be innovative and creative in your approach to meeting client need. A 9-5 job is not what you are looking for, because you understand that supporting vulnerable people is a 24/7 responsibility. These roles based in Bath include a range of shifts.
If you want to work for an organisation that genuinely helps others and has real opportunities for advancement. If you are up for a new challenge or want to develop your existing skills, then we would love to hear from you. For an informal chat about the role, please contact Glenn Hartley, homeless services Manager on 01225 311991 or email email@example.com
This post requires an Enhanced DBS check prior to commencement in role.
