Young People Coach (Support Worker)
Havering - Harold Wood
Full time - 36 hours per week
£19,380 per annum
The working pattern for this role is based on a four-week set rolling rota, consisting of early shifts 7.15 am - 3.30 pm, and late shifts 2.00 pm - 10.15 pm.
You will be working with single young people and single young parents aged 16 - 25. You will provide support and coach them to achieve their goals and aspirations and to develop skills to enable them to move on to successful and independent living. It will be your role to encourage them to lead flourishing lives.
Within this role you will be supporting and coaching young people using an Advantaged Thinking approach to:
- Unlock their potential and encourage them to fulfil their dreams
- During their 2 year stay, being an advocate for them to own their own journey
- Advise and support with education and employment
- Roll out exciting weekly activities and events
- Set up and maintain utilities
- Complete budget plans
For the above post it is essential that you will:
- Be an excellent communicator
- Be passionate about working with young people
- Be inspirational, creative & positive
- Being proactive and able to manage your time productively
- Be IT literate
Ideally you will have experience or similar within a young people/children supported environment e.g. Support Worker or Youth Worker. It would be beneficial to this role if you have a full UK clean driving license and own your vehicle due to required travel to other sites within the organisation as well as collecting weekly food donations. Within this role you will be required to complete regular weekly/monthly paperwork within set timescales.
