Job description

NewDay is seeking a Specialist, Salesforce Marketing to join its London office.

Key responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

  • acting as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) SME within NewDay, consulting/advising on and supporting SFMC delivery and functionality – this includes representing SFMC team on projects and working groups as required;
  • supporting the Digital Comms team in staying abreast of product enhancements and outages, and responsible for driving technical solutions and architecture;
  • supporting the SFMC Data Squad, and Senior Manager in driving data architecture and setup, testing and monitoring of data feeds (batch/API) and data within SFMC;
  • managing the build, execution and delivery of complex/technical digital comms requirements and campaigns across Marketing and Commercial projects;
  • supporting the build, execution, and delivery of other customer marketing campaigns and journeys in SFMC;
  • staying abreast of industry developments and drive best practice across SFMC platform functionality and configuration, and email/SMS build and deployment;
  • supporting Senior Manager in technical conversations with developers to establish API connections for RT communications interacting with web and product pages;
  • supporting risk management of the SFMC platform including identifying and assessing risks and mitigating via controls and process;
  • providing consultative support to other business unit users of Salesforce;
  • providing training to wider team on SFMC functionality, features and process as required; and
  • supporting manager and team as required.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • relevant demonstrable experience in using Salesforce Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget for E2E campaign build and automation;
  • relevant practical experience in Email Studio, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder, Mobile Connect, Automation Studio, Audience Builder;
  • relevant demonstrable experience overall in marketing, analytics, CRM, or digital roles with an understanding of Commercial drivers and business operations;
  • good understanding of SFMC platform functionality, configuration, and setup;
  • relevant technical experience in a variety of coding languages including HTML, CSS, Ampscript, SQL;
  • relevant technical experience working with REST and SOAP APIs;
  • relevant experience in working with relational databases;
  • strong data and reporting skills with an understanding of database management systems and processes and experience in managing data migration and integration;
  • good understanding of email marketing principles and best practice across deliverability, IP configuration and management, and consent;
  • highly organised and effective in fast paced organisations;
  • good critical thinking and problem solving – ability to assess and identify technical issues and resolve them successfully;
  • a naturally inquisitive mind and strong technical ability in relation to data and technology;
  • ability to work unsupervised with high level of self-motivation;
  • high integrity and sense of accountability – willingness to take ownership;
  • tenacity and ability to identify and persevere through challenges; and
  • a collaborative nature and the ability to work within a team environment towards common goals.
