Head of Development

Here at Johnnie Johnson, we are now looking for a Head of Development to manage the Development team in the successful delivery of our Development objectives set out in the Development and Growth Strategy 2018-2023.
Using your innovative approach and continuously seeking new development ideas and ways of working, you will work in close partnership with Developers, Contractors and Sub-Contractors and ensure the efficient, accurate and timely delivery of the Development programme with a focus on Independent Living affordable rent, shared ownership and sales schemes. You will ensure excellent communication regarding timescales for delivery and adhere to Development Procedures Guide and approved financial parameters and financial regs. Directly managing Development projects from inception to practical completion, you will maintain and create new relationships and ensure new homes are built to the highest possible standards.
So, if you have a strong delivery and achievement focus along with experience of managing a team, then we would be delighted to hear from you! With experience of delivering customer service, you will have up to date knowledge of planning legislation, and building regulations, ecological initiatives and their implications to Johnnie Johnson, and have knowledge of the Homes England audit process and Capital Funding Guide. We’d also like you to have strong analytical and report writing skills and experience of managing stock procurement, market research for suitable application, creating design briefs and forward funding initiatives.
A recognised building related qualification relevant to the role would be a distinct advantage, as would experience of the Homes England IMS system.
Candidates who don’t meet all of the criteria may be considered for a developmental opportunity with a salary structure to reflect this.
