Service Controller (Repairs Scheduler / Planner)

Full Time, 18 month secondment

Our client helps people who are struggling to find a place to live. They help their customers stay in their homes comfortably, so they can live the life they choose.  Social housing and their social impact is at the heart of what they do and they care about their customers living in their communities.
They are currently seeking a Service Controller to join their team.
The successful candidate will have worked within an administration and customer service role previously, dealing with diagnosing repair defects. You will understand works sequencing and have experience of electronic works scheduling / diary management systems. You will be a strong communicator who can work methodically with a strong attention to detail and have good local geographical knowledge.
The main purpose of this role is to ensure that works are scheduled efficiently, making sure that customers are kept well informed of the progress of the repair at all times.
Scheduling repair and maintenance orders is key.  You will also update availability and manage reserve slots urgent work; work closely with colleagues to plan resources in order to meet anticipated demand and review issued orders highlighting any special materials or requirements.
