An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Newspaper Sales Executive to join our team in Plymouth, on a minimum 6 month maternity cover contract. This contract has the potential to extend.
In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of circulation volume and revenue for all Reach titles across Plymouth, Devon and some areas of Cornwall. Reporting to the Newspaper Sales Manager, you will be engaging in all relevant sales department activity, both in the field and occasionally within the office.

We average 21 million mobile visitors - that's 60% of the entire mobile market. Each month we attract over 32 million unique visitors. That's more than our competitors. You will help us further increase our digital audience into 2019.
Key Responsibilities
- Working within a team of 4, being responsible for working with selected key retailers across Plymouth to promote Reach PLC titles.
- Carrying out regular active selling promotions, responsible for setting up event stands as and when required
- Attending appointments with supermarkets and newsagents to promote newspaper sales initiatives
- Help increase subscriptions of Reach PLC Titles
- Identify new outlets and monitor sales
- Working within defined Health & Safety guidelines at all times
- Administrative tasks, recording all sales records and activity reports
The Ideal Candidate
This role would suit individuals who are confident, driven and friendly with persuasive skills. You will have outstanding communication skills and be experienced in customer-facing environments. Being able to work autonomously and use your own initiative is a key element of this role, alongside the ability to manage your time effectively. Good numeric and basic computer skills will aid your success in this role.
As the majority of time will be spent field-based, you must have a full valid driving licence, with access to your own car (mileage will be reimbursed). You will need a flexible approach to days and hours of work, as although it is a Monday to Friday job, there may be occasions where you will work weekends.
Full training will be given.
