Food Technologist – Graduate Opportunity 
Ossett, West Yorkshire (with occasional travel)

Due to ongoing growth, our client is looking for two Food Technologists to join them at their head office in Ossett.

What will I be doing? 

As a Food Technologist, you will help to develop ingredient formulations and recipes in-line with customers’ requirements. 

Reporting into the Research and Development Manager, you will: 

- Modify formulations, recipes and manufacturing conditions to plant capabilities and customer requirements
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders, including the Commercial, Marketing, Culinary and Legislation teams 
- Complete tasks in-line with budgets and deadlines 
- Develop positive working relationships with customers 
- Assist with product demonstrations as required 

As part of your role, you may occasionally be required to travel and stay away overnight. 

What do I need? 

To be considered as a Food Technologist, you will need: 

- A BS degree in Food Science or a related discipline (or equivalent)
- To be highly-motivated, proactive and driven
- Great communication skills 
- A full driving licence and the ability to travel when required 

Previous industry experience would be beneficial, but this is by no means essential. 

Other companies may call this role Junior Food Technologist, Graduate Product Development Technologist, Food Product Development Technician, Graduate Developmental Technologist, Food Science Graduate or Product Development Technician.
