Our client is the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle.

Position: Assistant Retail Buyer
Location: East Molesey, Surrey
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:15pm.
Salary: GBP29,921 per annum

Estimated Start date: 1 September 2019

About the role:

No visit to any of the our clients properties would be complete without buying a memento of a fantastic day out! Retail Buying sits at the commercial heart of HRP and draws on the unique features of each of their magnificent Palaces!

They have an exciting opportunity for a professional and enthusiastic individual to join their Retail team at Hampton Court Palace, as an Assistant Buyer.

Working closely with the Buyers, you will support them with all aspects of the retail buying function including planning, product ranging, sourcing and purchasing for all outlets.

Under support and direction of the Senior Buyer, you will purchase retail products which not only delight their customers, but also achieve forecasted targets for specific product categories which attain our client's retail strategies, objectives, and action plans.

About you:

To succeed in this role, it is essential that you are educated to an A Level standard or equivalent, with a good pass in GCSE of English and Maths. You must be IT literate (good with MS Word and Excel) and possess proven of using a retail POS system as well as an understanding of merchandising and appreciation of OTB.

Having gained previous experience with entry level buying, you must also have proven shop floor and buying office experience in an administrative product related role.

Diligent and hard working with an aptitude for detail, you'll need excellent analytical, communication (verbal and written English) and creative flair. A team player who's able to work to tight deadlines, you'll have impressive multi-tasking, organisational and proactive time management abilities.
