Business Development Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this forward thinking business based in Baldock, as a Business Development Manager.

You will be selling the full range of the company's' products into existing and new markets. You will be targeted to increase the customer base and cross-sell in order to grow the sales revenue of the company, in a planned and logical way.

Identify opportunities and cross-sell the full product range into existing clients to increase sales revenue.

Utilise company databases to identify and target new potential clients and sell the full range of existing products to them.

Carry out research to identify potential new markets and opportunities for growth within which the company can sell its existing / future products

Follow company Sales Procedures in all areas specifically including but not limited to: o Customer account plans

Monthly sales forecasting on a customer by customer basis.

Reporting of sale progression against plan.

Monitoring of customer actual sales achieved versus forecast.

Update and maintain company systems (CRM, Excel spreadsheets, databases etc) to ensure that all sales activity and matters related to clients is accurate and up to date.

Delivery of the sales targets allocated to each sales focal area.

Attend face to face and conference call meetings with clients as appropriate to the role.

Accurate and detailed Sales handover to account management within the business.

International travel to meet clients as instructed by / agreed with the Managing Director.

Attend domestic and international Trade Shows as required by the company.

Qualifications / Role requirements

Desired - Degree level

Minimum - GCSE level C or above including Maths and English Language.

Demonstrable & referenceable experience of at least 3 years in a Business Development role.

Ideally selling technical / physical goods on behalf of a manufacturing organisation.
