Step Forward Tees Valley is an exciting programme jointly funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund which is indicative to end on June 2022. Working in partnership with voluntary and community sector delivery partners who are specialists in employment, financial and digital inclusion and volunteering, Step Forward Tees Valley supports long term unemployed people into or towards employment.

As a Navigator, you will manage a caseload of Step Forward Tees Valley participants and provide 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment and/or training. Responsible for comprehensive assessment and action planning of participants to assess motivation, and barriers to employment. Working closely with participants and referring into the partnership, Navigators will be responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, addressing barriers preventing engagement and introducing activities to support progression.

Essential skills:

  • Exceptional people and communication skills
  • Experience of undertaking caseload management on employability programmes
  • A proven track record in achieving employment and training outcomes
