Workshop Foreman/Chargehand/Supervisor/Workshop Manager- Salary up to GBP35k DOE plus a company van + plenty of overtime available
A fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious hire company providing pumps, generators and compressors with
branches strategically located throughout the North of the UK and Scotland
For this role you will need to be hands on and based at their depot near Glasgow, working Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm, Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm. There is also an on call rota in operation which will be 1 week in 5, with additional pay for that week and any hours worked. There may also be some Saturday mornings required for this role
Benefits:
Overtime is available and is paid at time and a half, double-time on Sundays
Salary up to GBP35k DOE (OTE possible GBP40k +)

Responsibilities of the Workshop Foreman
As the workshop foreman, you will be required to supervise the engineers, assisting them with the maintenance and repairs of diesel engines, pumps/generators and electrical equipment
You will be distributing the workload, ensuring all equipment breakdowns are responded to promptly and efficiently
Make sure all paperwork and records are filled out correctly
You will be dealing with ordering of parts and stock control
Assisting with any additional training as required
Required for the Workshop Foreman
Hold a Full UK driving license.
Ideally have an SVQ/NVQ or City and Guilds mechanical or plant qualification, although time served experience would also be considered for this position.
Previous experience with diesel engines is essential
Additional skills beneficial to the role;
Forklift certificate
CSCS card
Candidates with experience of working with diesel engines, plant equipment, generators, electrical 12/24v and single/3 phase will be prioritised for this role
