Our client is looking to expand its transport team and are currently looking for an experienced general haulage traffic planner/supervisor to join its Highbridge based team.
Hours are days Monday to Friday (tbc at interview) and Saturday AM
The right person will have experience of planning in a general haulage environment, dealing with drivers, a good understanding of driver hours and transport legislation.
In-conjunction with the other planners the role includes creating an effective work plan for about 100 vehicles based in 3 sites around the South West ensuring the customers goods are delivered in both on time but in the most effective way to maximise the vehicle productivity.
The company operates a modern fleet and utilises technology from trackers to live tacho data to ensure the planners have all the information they need to make effective decisions
