RF Design Engineer - Aerospace and Defence

Bournemouth Area - Permanent - Attractive

A leading supplier of critical control systems within the aerospace and defence sector is in search of an RF Design Engineer to be based at their site in Bournemouth. The RF Design Engineer will be part of the Design Team and report directly to the Electronics Design Team Lead.

As an RF Design Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/Science/Technology or suitable equivalent
Good knowledge of current RF technologies
Good knowledge of digital signal processing of RF and Baseband signals
Good knowledge of modern RF Test
Knowledge of High-Power RF Antenna Systems
Experience of system level requirements from customer requirements
Experience of developing, writing and implementing test and verification plans
Experience of writing technical requirements for RF components & sub-systems
Experience of evaluating technical proposals from suppliers of RF
Computer literate - MS Office Suite
Hands on RF design and simulation software knowledge
Knowledge of Industry ISO and Defence Standards
Knowledge of UK Civil Aviation Regulations - CAA/EASA
Experience of design or manufacturing in the aviation industry
Experience in Safety System Management within aviation or engineering
Excellent verbal and written Communication Skills
Ability influence and negotiate with internal and external customers at all levels
Excellent problem-solving skills and Excellent Time Management Skills to achieve deadlines
Able to maintain high levels of integrity, work ethic and confidentiality
As an RF Design Engineer your main responsibilities will involve:

Design and develop RF sub-systems for new Electronic Warfare equipment
Use design expertise to create RF design solutions to EW engineering problems
Projects relate to operational requirements for Radar Jammers and Simulators for NATO
Develop and maintain some knowledge of International Radar and Communications
Enable solutions to Electronic Warfare Engineering problems to be achieved
Conduct review of designs and technical proposals from an RF point of view
Maintain positive relationships with internal/external stakeholders and customers
Security Clearance will be required for this position due to the nature of the Products involved.
