RSR Police are currently recruiting for an Investigator to work on a temporary contract based in Sheffield. The Investigator will be required to undertake investigations into network criminal activity.
Main duties and responsibilities
Participate in operations and investigations, carry out evidence and intelligence gathering and preservation in order to build knowledge of organised crime and disrupt and degrade criminal capability.
Deliver actions in the investigative strategy deploying a range of law enforcement techniques.
Provide support to core investigative functions including disclosure/exhibits/authorities/presentation of written and oral evidence.
Ensure the quality secure handling and dissemination of intelligence, maintaining confidentiality, sensitivity and duty of care in line with Agency policy.
Carry out effective case management, create, maintain and update departmental records, including case files and reports.
Proactively contribute to the development of the Outside Enquiry Team and Investigative strand
Build good working relationships with both internal and external partners.
Conduct relevant health and safety procedures and report issues or identified risks in accordance with health and safety legislation and agency policy.
Knowledge Skills and Experience
Qualified and experienced investigators.
RIPA/CPIA/Freedom of Information/MOPI trained.
PIP2 qualified
Experience of working in a MIR on complex serious crime investigations, preferably using HOLMES and adhering to MIRSAP.
Experience of carrying out intelligence led investigations utilising HOLMES, delivering criminal justice outcomes.
