Due to continued growth we are recruiting for an experienced QA Manager to join our team based in Scropton, Derbyshire. (Near Hatton)

Join us as the QA Manager and you will be a key player in ensuring quality, safety and legality of product and animals by solving technical problems, implementing change and managing part of the aspiring team that brings Avara Foods to life.

Purpose of the Role

As a manager within the Technical team, you will manage product safety, maintain quality, increase efficiency and testing and ensure legality through effective HACCP and Quality Systems.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Ensuring our products and processes meet and exceed customer specifications within a fast moving, short shelf life environment.
Providing day to day management and development of the QA team.
Maintaining the Quality Management System and HACCP manual to ensure they are up to date.
Respond to enquiries and complaints ensuring effective actions are taken.
Ensuring that an effective technical service to the site is developed, implemented and maintained.
What we are looking for:

Leadership skills and experience motivating teams.
Experience within a food production environment alongside quality assurance and auditing.
Knowledge of and experience working with major retailers.
An understanding of environmental issues and potential impacts.
Internal auditing qualifications and advanced food hygiene and HACCP qualifications are beneficial.
