We are looking for an experienced Project Support Officer with a track record of supporting in the delivery of projects across their lifecycles and delivering solutions too complex problems in a range of environments and within recognised industry standard frameworks and ways of working.What it's like to work here
The role is that of a Project Support Officer, you'll be working on projects across the Region, however you'll be primarily based at Rowallane House. You'll be assisting in the delivery of projects within the National Trust's wider vision and ethos.What you'll be doing
Supported by a project manager (line manager) you'll be responsible for assisting in the delivery of projects and a wider programme through project lifecycles; including from concept to feasibility,implementation, handover and project close. You'll, therefore, play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects in line with both the property and wider regional strategies and objectives. You could be leading a single standalone project or supporting the delivery of multiple parallel projects within a portfolio and/or wider programme.
As you'll be assisting in the creation and delivery of a project, you'll be helping to ensure it delivers agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints; this will include day to day management of the project team; e.g.,could include contract and contractor management, assisting in the recruitment of resources within budget constraints and their effective deployment, budget management, overseeing and reporting to the lead project manager the appropriate delivery methodologies, providing effective management controls,and supporting in the transition between project phases and coordinating the delivery of technical and specialist support for projects.

There are a range of short, medium and long-term goals that will need to be achieved alongside the longer term programme. You'll be working with the project and operational teams on-site, consultants, volunteers and external stakeholders - the ability work within a team is essential.

To be successful in this role you'll need:
- Experience and knowledge of the delivery of a project through the key stages in its lifecycle, from initial vision/concept to project closure.
- Knowledge of project lifecycles and industry-standard project management frameworks;including but not limited to, concept and feasibility stages to implementation,risk management, change control, quality assurance systems, project reporting etc.
- You should be able to demonstrate a proactive style of working within a team.
- Knowledge of procurement procedures for works and services.
- Use of IT systems in project management.
- An understanding of design quality and sustainability issues
- The ability to prepare project budgets and expenditure plans and manage project accounts within approved parameters.
- Be adaptable to changing working environments and ways of working.
