An opportunity has arisen to work in a new and innovative Young People's Service in the North East Essex locality.
The Connect Service supports young people between the ages of 16-19 years with a diagnosis of ASD or displaying behaviours that suggest they are on the Autism Spectrum.
Using a holistic approach, Project Workers will carry out Individual Plans to tailor support to individual need. Working with a range of Partners you will aim to assist young people in taking up opportunities to go into further education or employment.
Helping to promote understanding and reduce stigma, you will also help raise awareness of the challenges young people might face in the workplace and help to facilitate an environment where young people begin to thrive and succeed.
Inspired to help young people develop a future of good mental health and wellbeing, you will be instrumental in helping to identify specialised therapeutic support, where necessary.
The Project Worker will work alongside the Manager to create a Steering Group of Professionals who will actively support and challenge the progress of the Service. The development of a Young People's Forum will provide opportunities for the young people to help shape the Service and move the work forward.
